    Anyway, back to the photos.

The Opera House's in a ear?

Have e mailed the link to human Stella for her to look at tonight. I reckon she'll be delighted to see her.

You never know where this sort of thing might go, but this is awesome, and makes it all the more worthwhile.

    Cheers Ray.

Orpheus - by David Sylvian. Seemed apposite.

...Sleepers sleep as we row the boat
Just you, the weather, and I gave up hope
But all of the hurdles that fell in our laps
Were fuel for the fire and straw for our backs
Still the voices have stories to tell
Of the power struggles in heaven and hell
But we feel secure against such mighty dreams
As Orpheus sings of the promise tomorrow may bring
Tell me, I've still a lot to learn
    Understand, these fires never stop
Please believe, when this joke is tired of laughing
I will hear the promise of my Orpheus sing

I'm guessing from your email you meant to post a photo too? Testing 1, 2.

Ok, so maybe I got carried away. I blame the moon. ;-)

These words are worth a thousand pictures : )

    Otherwise, I totally agree. Awesome.

This answer relocated from another thread to keep discussion going here. Perhaps in hindsight this is a bit odd, but seemed like a good idea at the time.

    In reply to Geoff Lealand's question;

Where are the NZ Herald on the site? Maybe they have disappeared. Regarding the uncredited Hamilton photo accompanying yours--was it one of mine?

The gallery is still here, but they took all three photos down when I pointed out the wrong crediting, and they were never put back on. Even though I eventually gave them permission. The person in Hamilton was called Andy. Would have been good to talk with him actually. By no fault of his, his photo, attributed to @CatureNZ, was removed. He might have been happy to leave it on.

Anyway, much learning all round. Waiting to see the promised Herald policy.

    A weed forever that Jack...

Slow to notice. I've heard it's hard to kill a weed. ;-)

Hope you don't mind, but have moved my reply to the Howling at the Moon Thread for continuity.

I LOVED that book as a kid. And the part I remember best, definitely the tigers turning into butter!

I immediately thought of that book too, but couldn't remember more than the imagery of a cat (tiger) going round in circles and becoming something else. My PC memory block must have erased it from my consciousness. ;-)

Thanks Encyclopedia Dalziel, you were even better than Google in this case.
