  • Hard News: RT: Eyjafjallajokull,

drunken britons running out of money -

That looked like a preview of Party Central, except there'd be a few lads(BG) pissing in the harbour.

  • Hard News: Misadventure and Muppetry,

Hey Andin! Give me a recent Buddhist saying! Or even one of a modest vintage. I tire of these old Buddhist / Sufi / Daoist sayings.

Paula Bennett is not a sacred cow.

  • Hard News: Misadventure and Muppetry,

Whatever happened to just putting the elderly out on the ice

As long as it's cubed, and in a tall glass smothered in alcohol, no problem!

    "...go with the floe..."

Yeah, well, some don't have the strength of mind
    Others mistake piety for strength.
    Old Buddhist saying.

  • Hard News: McVicar and the media,

Gee ...McVicar laid a complaint about the Crime & Punishment doco a few weeks back.
IMO It was rather good. He thought it biased?
Or did he just hear the word rehabilitate, and had a fit on the floor.
So when Garth identifies on of those rogue animals down on the farm.
Does he put it in detention till it sorts itself out? Or is it dinner.

    "perfectly reasonable in person"
Its what's going on in his mind that's ugly. And it showed.

And was hoping y'all would fight a duel. I don't think there has been a PAS duel yet.

Quills and inkpots at dawn perhaps?

  • Hard News: Sweet Rocksteady,

Sometimes the combination of an infectious rhythm and a good lyric would come together. Does that sound harsh? Funny tho I don't like the stoner ones much hmm weird. Maybe I need to be there.
    A favourite classic reggae song

And umm one from a bit later with some really cool dudes
I have to use the one without the music clip sorry

  • OnPoint: Dear Gerry,

Sometimes, they call these things "costs", "risks", "downsides", "negative externalities" or "bad things"

These things always seem to trip Governments on a Mission from God up.
Funny thing Gerry has been throwing around figures of what $200 billion of potential benefit to NZ.
Didn't the US govt spend a whole lot more than that in just one year in the war in Iraq.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_cost_of_the_Iraq_War

Looked at in that light even $400 bull, I mean billion, doesnt seem like its worth getting out of bed for.
And claims that it will benefit New Zealanders for generations seem, well, somewhat overblown.

  • OnPoint: Rational, then,

    And sez Fran

New Zealand – just like Australia – has the potential to be a lucky country.

Wish these idiots would stop" banging on" like this.
Australia isnt lucky, so stop looking in that window with a mindset that we're beggars on a street and all we need to do is ape them over there.
When you're really just shitting in your nest like all good conservatives.
