I would also like to propose a word I have heard so often this year, a word you probally all hear when spending time in cafes as people read their "Newspapers",
when we hear what our esteemed "Elders" are doing for us.....

Well yes. Our forefathers did that. They invented, improved and discovered all kinds of things to make life easier, to make the working week shorter, to increase leisure time, to make life “Better”.
What happened? The greedy purchased the means of production and the poor lost their jobs. Then they had the audacity to claim that the unemployed were taking their “hard earned money” and they should get a job, for as small a wage as possible because we don’t need the poor anymore we have machines, or cheap offshore labour to make our toys now. -

Simple enough for even the most electrically inept person, well almost.
Car battery, battery charger and a simple sine-wave inverter. All available from a reputable motor accessory shop near you, or even Repco ;-)
Connect the whole caboodle together, plug in the charger and you’re done. Leave it plugged in and it will be ready when you need it.
Of course a good three stage charger will lengthen the life of your battery and a deep cycle battery will do the job better than a starting battery for longer periods, lithium iron yttrium if you are flush with cash.
Get a larger inverter and you can also run a few led lights around the house.
At a push you could get away with just an inverter and swap out the car battery for short outages.
You can go even more exotic with an ATS (automatic transfer switch) so it kicks in when it is needed, automagicly. -

Again, Labour delivered the message poorly….
Labour has, on many occasions, delivered many sane and promising policy statements.
The Media and those who have only their own interests at heart, have stuck their collective fingers in there ears shouting “LA LA LA LA CAN’T HEAR YOU” and then stated, truly, that… “I haven’t heard anything from Labour, they have no policy as far as I can see”. The willfully blind led by the one eyed neo-lib ideologists down a road to debt driven oblivion. -

True. I had assumed that he would have mentioned it if he had but assumptions are rarely gospel. Come to think of it though, the Gospel seems to assume a lot.
