Well, if it isn't illegal it should be. That's a supremely crap way of acting.

Though if you trust your sources enough to run their story without checking it, you really shouldn't be putting your own byline on it.
What I don't know from a glance at today's story is whether the Herald or a parliamentary research unit figured out that there were three properties.
Did the Herald run someone else's story once or twice?

So if you're hard enough you can wash your nether regions with ricin? Awesome.

This abuse has a catchy tune. That makes it much, much better than the other side.
And really, all adding quality to debate and creating understanding and no saying "fuck you" makes Jack a dull boy.

The major section of the God Delusion dealing with non overlapping magesteria is titltled NOMA and starts halfway down page 54. If you're curious it's at google books.
Basic idea is that the magesteria don't overlap cos theology doesn't cover anything at all.

There are still an awful lot of new buildings on the [Wellington] waterfront but there also some nicely developed and well-used public spaces.
Not wanting to talk too much about Wellington, but thank god there are an awful lot of new buildings there. It means it gets used, even today. Shouldn't be one or the other, but both.

Global warming is caused by the sun. End of story.
Nah, that's just the beginning of the story, global warming is caused by the sun interacting with a few other things, a major one being the composition of the earth's atmosphere. More greenhouse gases equals more warming for a given amount of energy output from the sun.

Thanks, Giovanni. Last time I looked neither Glenn Beck nor Bill O'Reilly (neither of which exactly requires any skill to make fun of) were holding elected office.
Michelle Bachman, on the other hand...

Don't be silly Gareth, of course the link said that, otherwise the authors' funding would dry up...
You've got to read between the lines.

Ben Wilson - Rob Stowell back on page 13 put it best -it is potemtially already possible to convert a TTS function to a downloadable good-quality audio file...and new developements are in the offing-
I understood Rob to be saying was that you could get a dodgy machine reader to read it into fairly dodgy voice recognition software and end up with a text file that would resemble the original text.
Seems to me it'd be much easier to cut the spine off a hardcopy and run it through a scanner.
