it's not actually a video of the group leaving the Matterhorn, is it?
Umm that is exactly what it is. The first shot is pretty much the doorstep of the horn. You can see Simon step past the point where the Matterhorn security sit.

Stuff have actually pulled their article on the Matterhorn thing and replaced it with this;

amazing. I actually read the original and was quite shocked. How did a major newspaper get it so wrong?
I am supposed to be reading a script but I just can't stay off Facebook and PAS. The 'facts' are all changing so fast.

Martin Freeman is an inspired choice to play Bilbo.

Pretty annoying. A little dramatic. Probably quite distressing. Perhaps not as threatening as we were led to believe? Really doesn't seem that bad at all.

I was wondering where they went. This is terrible news. Part of MTVs cut backs or something?

I know of a flat, where the piles of dishes got so insane they decidde to reduce the need by drawing plate size circles on the table and just giving it a good wipe after eating ones spag bol straight off it.

TBH, I wholly accept that Helen and Robyn had some unacceptable things said to them last night outside The Matterhorn
That bar has been a gathering place for Wellington filmies for well over a decade and it is unacceptable that people who work together should be threatening or insulting each other in little ole Cuba Mall (Wellingtonians like to save their worst behaviour for Coutenay Place after all). It is quite upsetting that things have got to this point.
OK, time to stop commenting.....step away from the lap top.

Making coffee and cleaning up after it is an integral part of the film industry and something everyone in the process should take part in. To that end, I taught Alan Lee how to use the espresso machine at 3 Foot 6 during LOTR pre-production. I feel if I had never imparted my Cafe Slave Guild secrets to Mr Lee then the LOTR films could have been a farce.
Hmm, then I kinda got fired. Damn daily contracts its an outrage!

I'm pretty sure the line items of the budget that could be claimed back would be a fraction of the total budget.
I know most of the accounts team pretty well, I'll ask. And of course, how much tax income is generated through wages? A minimum of 20% of whatever is paid out in that regard. Maybe like 50 million?
Still though, its all peanuts compared to the cash that those cruise ships bring to Wellington. Awful cafes will be making a killing!

Can we try and keep it civil so people don't just pack off and leave? It's not that kind of forum.
yes please lets...
PS I wasn't being sarcastic before when I said its terrible people are calling Helen Kelly names. I genuinely think that sort of thing is entirely unhelpful.
Perhaps she shouldn't have called Peter Jackson a "spoilt brat". Perhaps Wingnut should word there press releases a little more carefully. Perhaps everyone should calm down and wait to see what Warner Bros say. Its their 500 Million USD, they'll do with it as they wish.
