    Only 1/16th? [curmudgeon]

it's not about the quantum, its whether you genuinely feel like a curmudgeon, and others agree you are one.

It looks bitchin', does it not?

    food porn.

will have to chase up some local providers, to see if they can supply some of the cheeses off that second link of yours.

Because that finger's strictly for lovin'?

i've never spoken to anyone who doesn't like to scratch an itch, or have an itch scratched.

if they say they don't, they're lying.

  • Yellow Peril: Oink,

i'm holding out in my insistence that aro st bakery is better than moulin.

on another topic. those broad, dried black fungus you can buy from yan's supermarket in hopper st. i steep them in warm water, and add them to a garlic-chicken dish i make (a recipe not even pretending to be 'asian', just exploiting asian ingredients).

are they supposed to be a tiny bit 'crunchy' when you serve them? (because i kind of like them that way)

and word on whether that cheesemaker sends his product to other cities?

i found his website, but can't find out if i could decent cheeses here in wellington?

did he mention if he 'exported' it to the north?

enquiring wannabe gourmets need to know.

  • Hard News: Launching into raunch,

some would assert that schindler's list is holocaust porn.

other than one film in the 80s you don't see many directors making personalised and agonised protrayals of cambodia.

i'd also like to see a 5-page discussion of business-as-usual violence on tv and in film. i've had sex. i've never laid a finger on anyone in anger.

yup. fantastic day. someone commented "i didn't know there even was this many people in wellington!"

the city can be proud of itself, great day, no louts, heaps of fun, heaps of laughs, heaps of good food.

even saw a cop joking around with a hippie who was drinking from an open bottle of wine. total liquor ban? meh. he was just a chilled out guy having a tipple.

and yes, mint chicks were good. glad to see "i might be crazy..." isn't over-produced.

Indons and Turks are a gregarious lot. You're looking at some lengthy and intensive pansy calling there

hmmm.. better get started sooner rather than later then. send me some email addresses to get me started. there's only what... 200+ million people to call?

this should be even riskier that the mate i had in 1988 who spent two hours calling south africa and yelling, "FLEE MAN!! THE KAFFIR ARE RISING!!"

you have to make your own fun in small towns.
