And I wonder what the Czechs or Slovaks would be raising their glasses with?

Yes, congratulations. If I could magically ship you some bubbly in real time, it'd be a Cloudy Bay Pelorus..

Lindauer? From sacrament to sacrilege. :)

What was Seth's Speyside? That bottle rocked.

Joe, I understand your wariness but from my perspective People First is a good organisation that was fostered by IHC for years and then split off and has thrived since.
It's not only for people with a high degree of intellectual impairment - and as you know, being impaired in one way does not mean anything for other aspects of a person. I have met People First leaders who are great at reasoning but not necessarily at concentrating or remembering.
In general, in every population group those attracted to and capable of leadership are not likely to be average.

Adjust and stop whinging you fuckers
Man, I really want that one on a tee-shirt..

Good point. Your patience is fair saintly compared with mine, Russell.

Agreed. I was actually encouraging Jon not to rehash an argument, and was not engaging Rob at all. Given that there's nothing wrong with being bipolar, I'm hardly offended by the accusation although personalising this debate has become a problem. I think Rob was right to apologise to all PAS, not specifically to me in this instance.
I do get offended by anyone who shows bad faith, poor reasoning and persistently assumes that the other party is wrong in the face of evidence - but I'm working on my own tolerance levels. Maybe attending a flat earth society meeting or climate denialist conference might help with that? :)

Back on topic, check The Register's take on the Blackout campaign.
Thanks to news media's Twitterphilia, however, the blackout is getting the kind of international attention that a protest marking a procedural stage in the passage of domestic laws would otherwise not have attracted, or merited.
All very meta.
