mascarpone doesn't travel very well, does it?
It seemed to do just fine in this case. Yum.

Can I recommend the Italian brand of tiramisu that Kapiti cheeses imports for some supermarkets.

mmmmhhh, sachertorte
It has been done before. In my defense, never post when hungry - everything sounds like food.

Steve, it's a nice afternoon. To quote Simon: "Stop please..everyone."

I am crotchety and old. Ha.
A tee-shirt there - actually "defiant codger" wouldn't be bad either..

Fatima's, I should have purchased some eatables there
Always a good idea.

I'm glad to hear BDO was (mostly) enjoyable and that none of you succumbed to sunstroke.
having to pay $130 to be treated like a cross between cattle and refugees grates a little
I think I was agreeing with Steve upthread - the contrast after attending the superbly organised Gathering only a few weeks beforehand really put me off the BDO. It does sound like restricting crowd numbers paid off this time, so big ups to the organisers for foregoing the extra $500k income.
Pendulum was an event
I've seen them described as the stadium rock of drum'n'bass and I can imagine tracks like "Fasten Your Seatbelt" working well in a large crowd (though the forced exhortations bring to mind a cheesy aerobics instructor). Anyway, imagine way more bass:
and the studio version:
-
a contrived contraction
Actually make that a mis-spelled one too..
-
the restrictions of a Te Awamutu education (your choices: liking rubgy, or league
Or sowing the seeds of Split Enz..

I did wonder if Tiso was a contrived contraction of my favourite dessert.. :)
