Main Stadium in 2008.
Looking at the 2008 lineup, with the exception on my part of Arcade Fire, nothing really grabbed me on the two main stages, as was the case on Friday. And yet the stadium was full.
I'm guessing, both by the low numbers, and the willingness of everyone to turn their back on it all and move on, that most were a bit over it. If you asked me after last year's, I'd probably have agreed. Still, seems a genuine shame we can't expect anything of this magnitude again any time soon.

There was no enigma. They were like right there in front of you, all bloody day. I feel it a moral victory that I had only one.

Yes, Happy New Year (I know how to say it in Mandarin, but not write it).
That horse is literally flying, Lilith. This was a reasonably common sight on the beach at Waiotahi, near Opotiki. They had races once a year on New Year's day, I seem to recall.

Yeah, it was good from a punters point of view, but I guess some of the sellers might have overstocked a little.
And they had 30,000 Cornettos to give away!! Hope they feel that was worthwhile marketing. Certainly gave the cleaners something to do I would imagine.

Back in those days everyone at B was called Andrew. It was compulsory.
Later it was Matt. I can think of at least three. Two of them Jones.
There's also been a guy called Jackson pop up recently. Chances are he wasn't born when I was there.

Ah, but he did go to Sweetwaters that time.
He was dragged.

Crowd-pleaser, 2008.
people are strange.. as we love to complain but very rarely ever thank those that risk it all promoting such things cause that simply doesn’t occur to most of us
Yeah, the negative article that got on my goat most yesterday (no links) was written by someone who hadn't even been to one! Sorry if I don't care what they think.
Thanks BDO people. Moments like that above will live long in our memories.
