  • Island Life: All stadium, all the time,

I think the majority of the population actually seems quite happy about the idea.

Isn't it a case of "no stadium, no cup"? I think maybe that the rest of the population is not unhappy about it, rather than say, jubilant.

  • MySky strangeness?,

When ours was installed, the technician neglected to set up our adult content pin number, and so in the first week or so I recorded a couple of R18 movies which we subsequently could not view.

I rang Sky a few weeks later & they set it up as we spoke on the phone - there was a noticable shimmer (like that de ja vu scene in the Matrix) when the Sky person probably pressed "enter".

i was impressed. My new pin number worked straight away!

Yeah - I just wondered idly if the Mallard that was named for is an ancestor of our current, beloved Trev.

And no, I don't think they should name anything (except maybe the ablution block) after him.

What's the chance they call it the Mallard Stadium? I mean, since we lost the hallowed Mallard Stand some time ago (are they related?)

They are great devices. I've had no glitches so far. That i've noticed.

i'd like to plug for about 10 times as much storage though, I can't believe how quickly I filled up 90% of the hard drive.

James' willingness to maintain his engagement is to be admired.

I agree! Holding the fort all the way from New Orleans. James, I don't want to discourage you at all - but why are you arguing with a bunch of irrelevant (to US politics) kiwis?

Apologies if I missed an earlier post where you said you were an ex pat kiwi or something.

Heh - they're vehement because it _really_ suits them to do nothing.

To do _something_ would be very inconvenient.

But cripes, have you read that article in the Listener about carbon emissions per person from various types of vehicle?
