And yet for all the media coverage, very, very little was made of the sensational use of the light armoured vehicles in this seige. It is without precedent in New Zealand, and yet was barely remarked upon. Eye witness accounts say the LAV may even have returned fire when recovering Len Snee's body. Surely this is possibly the MOST unusual aspect of this seige?
Pics or it didn't happen, frankly.
I've been reading a bit recently about the reliability of eyewitness evidence (bottom line: not very).
I find it extremely difficult to belive anyone would be stupid enough to authorise, let alone use, a 20mm cannon or .50 machine gun in that situation.

Oh, but Gareth wasn't half as nasty.
I wonder if Grant is familiar with this exchange from The Office:
Tim: And what happens, you're going into battle situation, right, you are up the front, with your men, or are you coming up the rear?
Grant: Well, depends...
Dawn: So it's possible you'd come up the rear?
Grant: It's possible, yeah.
Tim: That's all we wanted to know.

The only investigation that needs to be done is into the hearts of men who would decide to leave a shot man lying in the driveway for a day.
The only investigation? We don't need to know the reasons why a person went off the rails and ended up holed up in a house with guns and explosives surrounded by police, then?
Can people possibly lay off the Kiwibog-esque "kill the bastard now" talk? If the police think they can resolve the situation without further loss of life, let them do it. The guy could be seriously mentally ill, for all we know.
It's not 'people', it's just Grant. He pops in occassionally when he's got something reactionary to say about abortion or crime and punishment and whatnot.

The problems resulting from meth-amphetamine use have excavated since it started being called P, and was made a more seriously illegal substance.
You got a licence to drive that cause-and-effect? Source, please.
Rich Lock can bore you to tears with more detail.
In these troubled financial times, I am willing to exchange advice in return for feijoa cocktails. Better make them strong, though. I might be easy, but I'm not cheap.

Some ideas on how to deal with the on-going feijoa glut would be welcome
Put them in the blender with a couple of handfulls of icecubes, the juice of a fresh lime or two, a splash of sugar syrup depending on how sweet your palatte is, and a couple of glugs of either white rum or tequilla. Blend, drink, make some more.
Pure genius. Thanks for that.

"pre-shrunk" godless ones
Have to say, I rather prefer being preshrunk. I would make showering or bathing a bit difficult otherwise.\
Perhaps I could have chosen 'hand-wash only'? ( oo-err, missus! nurse! the screens! etc etc etc).

You guys are assuming that I can still tell when I'm being sarcastic.
Hmmm, be careful with that. We all know what happens to witches who lose the ability to tell the difference.

everything left intact but the main article.
Yep, I'll admit to a 1/2 seconds worth of 'what the fu....?' while reading that.

Great, we're really screwed now.
Better hope these ones can't run.

"He should have retired". That ought to be the epitaph of every boxer.
Except Rocky! I can't get enough of that guy!
