'Let the Music Play' by Shannon
Oh! I love being reminded of songs hiding in the depths of my brain! To the tubes...

'With all due respect' always means the exact opposite, surely? Unless you're Michael Corleone trying to get permission to court that hot Sicilian.
Also, Kyle is originally from Auckland and is therefore a traitor in our midst. I like to bring that up regularly so he doesn't get all Mainlandy-High-Horse on our asses. Heh. :)

I like the Rockets. I like that Ron Artest pissed off Kobe Bryant. I like that the Rockets gave the Lakers a massive beat down without Yao Ming or Tracey McGrady. In short: Go Rockets!
Or, thinking about the last game here, not. Sigh. Come on, fightin' underdogs!
My husband, as is his wont at the end of every season, has grown a Playoffs Beard. It's meant to give the team luck, Samson-styles, or something. Usually it gets shaved off pretty quick-smart, but it's hanging around scruffily this year.

I'll join if I can have the ten wives promised.
Shameful Nerdlinger Report: I read that and thought 'hey, I bet I could make a joke about Harry Mudd here!'

Oh, also (have I mentioned this?): I wanted a Majel Barrett-related character, dammit. Where's Christine of the Unrequited Love?

WTF was the ewok doing there

One reason she likes it so much is the feeling of security it gives her
Sorry for the previous-thread-reference-jack, but gosh. What a *cerebral* attitude that New Zealander has to the purchase of an SUV. Not at all like those dumb Americans who buy cars for all the wrong reasons.
Snerkity snerk, Matthew P. :)

The Nitpicker's Guide for Classic Trekkers
Oh come ON. First Milly-Molly-Mandy Again , now this? I try not to believe in fates, but these levels of coincidence are... starting to freak me out.
Also, sorry, but I still can't see any sexual tension there.
Oh, I can. I leaned over to whisperingly note a particularly fraught moment to my husband, and just then the scene changed and Eric Bana said 'engage the drill'. I felt vindicated.

I don't think I have ever wished to reach over the radio waves and strangle someone *quite* as much as I did this morning, listening to that.
Possibly rhetorical question: what is *up* with Sean Plunket? Sheez.

On their TV they buy in show ideas and scripts from the UK like The Office.
Although... the US version of The Office is excellent, and a very different beast, not just a rehash.
Oh, and in relation to that early bit of this thread, about Sweetman: dude is part of a long tradition. The intertubes is filled with douchebags waffling on about how Women Aren't Funny. (I'm not totally resentful about this at all, you understand.)
