    ©lockwork freerange...

A lot of use of copyright is not by listening or watching, but by making a new work out of them: quoting, sampling, retelling, reframing, whatever.

.... why, that sounds like general conversation©,
    </Prof Pat Pending 2015>

I foresee a fifty year cycle of reissues - each iteration launching a new ©lock, while the content is free to roam amidst the latitudes of the reavers and retrievers of, and on, the high ©s....

    ......

Could you grant a general license to the world at large...

    ...what about copyleft
the debate is always out there over Copyleft vs. Permissive Licenses

I am glad you kept an ampersand (&) between 'Art' and 'Soul' - people have called me something similar to 'art soul' in the past...

  • Hard News: CWC 2015: Contains graphic horror, in reply to Russell Brown,

    The urly bird…

It has long been thus …

Where do I apply for a time refund on slavishly doing this: Link: [ [ url|link text] ] since Dec 2006?
    I coulda been a contender…
but no, I’m ‘coding’ needlessly to add non address text (hiding the url)
when many times I coulda just dropped the url link in…

what will I do with all this free time ?

I note that Rayan Lee’s web site (http://www.2015-icccricketworldcup.com/) began on January 3 in Jaipur, (registered to one Jitendra Sharma, and the address seems to be an empty section on a cul de sac in Jhotwara, jaipur) and doesn’t seem to be officially linked to the ICC (insofar as I can ascertain) ..
He seems awfully keen for us to follow the links
    - perhaps it is just a fan or perhaps it is a scam?

I also note that the url seems to be live linking without doing the usual .. coding ???
Has PA had an upgrade so just a web address suffices now?
in which case it might be time to update the info for links below the response box....

The needle and the damage done...
Despite what they say, the Convention Centre in Auckland must have already cost taxpayers money - ousting TVNZ from their building (without engagement or consultation as far as I can make out) cannot have been a cost neutral exercise - or is TVNZ completely self funding these days - nonetheless they are victims of Key & Joyce's largesse - and that Sky City CEO is a complete pillock - I vote the NZ govt walks away from the deal - it will only end in tears. (if not shreds).

Jon Stewart to leave The Daily Show this year

Fake news host Jon Stewart has announced plans to step away from The Daily Show later this year.

    Fake news show?
I thought The Daily Show did a far better job at highlighting current affairs than many other 'Real News' shows...
    (ditto for John Oliver's show)
