  • A question of sport,

Feel free to delete those if you're feeling a little fragile over the fox allegation, I know people who know people I can assure you it's true but obviously wouldn't want to open you up to any liability.

  • A question of sport,

Something not many know though is that fox was responsible for the axing of shelford after a punch up at training. He issued a him or me ultimatum, the rest is history.

  • Hard News: More than a little odd,

My connection ran at 3.5mbs before the great unleashing, it now runs at around 1.6 to 1.8. The data cap between 4pm and 12 pm is 400mb if you exceed this you get placed into a pool that is limited in capacity where you have to compete with other naughty downloaders for that limited bandwidth, its part of the terms and conditions you signed up to when opting for go large (slowly) the data things a whatever for me I plan to download the planet and am investing in a pc with lots of hd capacity to enable this. The issue I have is that when placed in this pool you are notified beforehand, I've not been notified that this is the case so why is my supposedly unthrottled 'as fast as my line will allow service running at an average of half the speed it did before the unleashment of this bunch of lies.

  • What Happens: The Sequel!,

Just beamed in from abc news board, They're nuts, nuts I tell you. Some of the outlandish stuff I've been reading is just hysterical. Got an interesting insight into the foreign perception of us though, we're pretty much golden out there.

We have a couple of US student teachers at school here at the moment and as far as I can tell they are quite happily surprised at developments back home. They are both from Ohio, so it's difficult to say they reflect any sort of public feeling (quite ridiculous actually considering there's only two of them) but from what I've been reading on various american boards (abc cnn et al) It looks as though the dirty tricks campaigns and attack ads startegies have backfired on those who employed them so thats quite heartening to see. Myself I'm glad to see the back of Rummy (the fabricator) and complete republican control but doubt that very much will change. Iraq will continue to be an almighty s**tstorm for quite some time yet. How much money will continue to be sunk into that hole in the desert remains to be seen.

Quote from El Presidente " I thought we'd do alright, shows what I know" A truer word never spoken.

  • Yellow Peril: Public meatings,

Every year we begin with a unit called 'the Point England way' it covers being a part of our school and covers expectations and rights granted and assumed by the school and its pupils and staff. We cover the TOW of course and present an evenhanded view of its meaning and relevance. The kids learn about parliamentary process, how a bill becomes law and amongst other things cultural diversity. It's not a silver bullet for intolerance but these are primary aged kids after all.

  • If the Straitjacket Fits ...,

I've got to agree with Hamish, I watched the light show from my deck in deepest darkest Helengrad and it was spectacular. Quite pretty, my cat sat beside me quite happy, not pooing on me or my couch absolutely enthralled by the lights and sounds. I suspect he may even have been waiting for one to land so he could catch it. He's a strange one that cat of mine.
