If they weren't clever enough to orchestrate it (Iraq I mean) then they were at least too stupid to prevent it.

Of course they orchestrated it. This has never really been in question. And yes, of course Bin Laden was an agent of the US. So was Saddam. That they both turned into sworn enemies is neither surprising nor proof of shadowy dealings: it's simply how the cold war worked, and the public in the US has always accepted that.

Perhas the 9/11 Truth movement is a pathological reaction to that cynical acquiescence. Either way, they're not helping the cause of the critics of that imperialist logic - quite the opposite.

This days on PAS it seems like bikes are the chief means of threadjacking.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If the oglee is wearing one of these t-shirts, that might be a hint that your gaze is not appreciated.

I hate those t-shirts. I like to think I'm not a creepy ogler, but I am a compulsive reader. Write something on your boobs, I'm going to want to know what it is. In fact there's a reason for preferring smaller breasts right there: they make the writing less bumpy.

It's a cheap trick, is what it is.

But for some reason it brought back one of those Onion throwaway side headlines from long ago: Woman Tired of Men Staring at Her Breast Implants.

Gio. My point was the abuse of the word "Truth" from both sides is, at least, disingenuous, the truth is just not known.

Yet for you the content of that link on the Ron Paul site qualifies as "revelations". This puzzles me.

I've just this minute come across this letter that Lewis Carroll wrote to a child friend:

Don't be in such a hurry to believe next time-I'll tell you why-If you set to work to believe everything, you will tire out the muscles of your mind, and then you'll be so weak you won't be able to believe the simplest truest things.

Only last week a friend of mine set to work to believe Jack-the-giant-killer. He managed to do it, but he was so exhausted by it that when I told him it was raining (which was true) he couldn't believe it, but rushed out into the street without his hat or umbrella, the consequence of which was his hair got seriously damp, and one curl didn't recover its right shape for nearly two days.

"Hurry to believe" describes possibly all of us in relation to both official explanations and conspiracy theories. But Truthers are the fastest of them all, and that alone exposes them very quickly if you bother to read their literature.

Tricker, is when/why/for how long it's okay to look.

If the ground starts shaking, then it counts as ogling.

I am also thrilled and flattered that 'Animalistic Penis Brains' has been enshrined in an Emma post! Yay.

This you will enjoy: Harvard has convened the gotha of the social sciences and asked them to come up with the great unresolved issues for the coming century. Right in the mix at the moment is the following question: "How do our social relationships influence our genes, and how do our genes influence our relationships?"

I think we have every hope of seeing 'Animalistic Penis Brains' (APB) enshrined as an academic term within the next decade.

Sorry, I thought this was the bit where we all laughed at Ron Paul. Frankly I visit his site for the ads alone, they never disappoint.

Btw, Steve, Truther is the name the Truthers give themselves, not a slur.

Which is why I reckon that Keri H is entitled to sit on her laurels, like Harper Lee. The book is on bookshelves everywhere I go. I can't tell you how many people, on hearing where I'm from, have said "I read the most amazing novel..." (usually in tandem with the more common "I've always wanted to go there").

One is rather reminded of the time when Heller lost his patience at being asked why he had never written another book as good as Catch 22 and responded: "Nobody else has either". Or words to that effect.
