We could consider the cost of producing and raising a child to adulthood–I recall seeing a figure of around $250,000 per child
Now that’s mighty expensive eating if you ask me.
And Jackie, you get to appreciate the outside loo after a while. In fact it has been said you should put your wood pile along the path to the loo so that women will collect your firewood rather than admit that their trip was for something other than to refresh the fireplace. There’s a lot to be said about a privy, take it from a SpecialistOh and Jacqui, Huhu bugs can be quite cute sometimes but definitely not good eating, just ask our Dog, Stella. Huhu grubs on the other hand, yum…
I'm going to be in town for the rest of the week and, weather permitting, should be down at te Neighbourhood on Thursday evening. So, if anyone wants to catch up for a beer or two, or pick up stuff they left behind, we'll see you there.

Well, I had no problem with sandflies. The giant huhu bugs, on the other hand, can be slightly annoying when you get them stuck in your hair and they crawl across your face but you get used to them after a few beers.

On the subject of Air New Zealand and “Culture” Has anybody else seen the Rico series of adds they are pushing out.
I, for one am appalled at the smutty innuendo. Should our national airline be making dubious sexual references as a way of selling airline tickets, or have they decided to take several steps backward to the eighties when they got the reputation as an airline that really does give a Fuck? (can’t find the story but it was about a pilot, off duty, being taken advantage of by a hostess, remember?) -

I was going for existentialist purity. A more Humanist approach would get too complex to make a short sentence meaningful, in fact you would have to consider everything in its entirety. But I like your point.

I heard a faint tune in the distance that tweeked my interest. I could not believe my ears. Here, in lil' ol' 3 Kings was Jerry Garcia singing "You Are My Shining Star"
I don't know why but that bought tears to my eyes. Love you hun, see you at christmas...XX You are my shining star and I miss you....

What do you mean, without the chemicals & preservatives? If it doesn't have C2H6O (a chemical and a preservative) in it, you can barely call it beer.
And that distinctive thwack of Di-hydrogen monoxide...

Whoa-Barkers has combined with Flying Nun to produce new F Nun T Shirts. They come with a download code for the EP that's the shirt design.
Yes, take that "Music Industry". Marketing is practically the only commercial activity left in the Music biz, aside from performing on stage and sometimes that is but marketing, I predict sponsorship and product tie ins to be the music business model for next year onward.
You mark my words..... -

I concur sir. I would even go as far as saying I have never understood the point of "Going to see a Band" surely the point is to enjoy the music? and yes, who actually does enjoy it when someone shoves a cameraphone in your face to share their miniaturised life experience?
“Oh well, it will just have to be a memory”
Indeed, life consists of three things, dreams, memories and right now. Whoops, missed it but I got a picture...
