Ugh. Yes. I get that variations of that all the time. Even when I'm not going that fast. It really annoys me.

Yeah, sailing is awesome. Tried it once years ago.

Wheelchair rugby is cool to watch. A bit full on for me though. I'm not really into team sports either.

  • Access: Changing Shape,

Thanks, Sacha. It was hellish to go through but it's amazing how quickly the memory fades and we adjust.

  • Access: Changing Shape,

Thanks, Brent. I've got a lot to do before I can say I'm anywhere near where I want to be but I feel like I might have a shot at getting there now.

  • Access: Right to die?, in reply to Sacha,

I think you've hit the nail on the head, Sacha. I would much rather see a law that allows self-determination for terminally ill people in how and when they die and leave people with disabilities, and everyone else for that matter, out of it.

While I've always been an advocate for voluntary euthanasia, this article and discussion have really made me think about a few things. I still hold the same view but it is clearly going to be more complicated to get right if we do go down that path and I do think, from what I've seen in international media, certain countries that are broadening their criteria for consideration appear to be setting some dangerous precedents.

  • Hard News: Public Address Word of the…,

Privilege: It has been attached to all of the major international news narratives I can think of and a good number of domestic stories. I don't go a day on social media without it being employed and debated somewhere. The debate around it is becoming both more polarising and complicated, if that's possible.

Thanks for reading. I'm not too concerned about pain. Given my paralysis, I'm not sure if I'll feel anything. Referred pain further up my leg is a bit concerning. Nerves can be tricky things. I'll just have to wait and see on that one. I'm most worried about infection as I've had some awful and worrying post-op experiences and I'm so prone to serious infection. I just have to hope it all goes to plan.
