Hard News: Do you like what we've done…, in reply to
We've not done a lot of testing on mobile handsets, so there's bound to be issues here and there. The media queries were a quick win to support Webkit on small-screen devices, but this is bleeding-edge technology that not all implementers are handling in exactly the same way. As resources allow we'll improve this where we can.

Chris, yes the slowdown is likely due to the fact that we’ve moved the site from San Francisco to Auckland during the changeover. Better for the vast majority of the readership, but we’re continuing to make performance improvements.

Jacqui, this was more a practical decision that anything else. We might add them back to the user’s page that lists all their comment posts.

Hi, for older browsers in which the slideshow doesn’t run I’d suggest bookmarking the posts page which lists all posts in reverse order. Thanks for reporting the other issues, we’ll look into those missing archives.

Correct. On Windows we’ve disabled the titles/button font specifically, as the rendering is not up to par. We’re considering alternatives that are hinted to work better with ClearType. The body copy is still displayed in FF Tisa by default, but can be switched back to Georgia using the Disable link in the footer.

Rich, there's an option to disable the webfont in the bottom right corner if it's not to your taste. Development effort has been focused on desktop browsers and Webkit for mobile, and we'll continue to improve support for other platforms as resource allows.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated and we’ll evaluate it all. Look for fixes to a few of the things noted here tomorrow.
