  • Hard News: A little patch of turf,

I find it even more intriguing that the police are not ruling out more arrests in this case..........other than the two already arrested and being questioned..........WTF?

  • Summer Holiday,

I am spending Xmas and New Year working, and to boot I am on call. Violins please. But I will console myself with writing a poem that will be a distant second to the outstanding efforts so far.

I am going away in February to Hamilton, I know, effing sad that!

    OMG my life, my life

Yup who said only teenagers can do angst!

  • Hard News: Citizen Key II: The High…,

I was credited with 100% attendence at high school. Completely wrong, I clearly remember bunking off regularly.

Sigh does that mean that I was so utterly insignificant that it mattered not if I was there or not!!

It is funny the things one can be proud of really - I have a stamp in my passport giving me 48 hours to leave the UK, (innocent, but long story) and my parachuting certificate are two things I am immeasurably satisfied about in my life.

Such a simple (and insignificant) soul, me!

  • Word of the Year 2006,

I am not sure about a word for 2006, I agree with many here, but I would like to nominate the word for 2007 already

    aspiration/s
    aspirational

  • Speaker: The Hollow Men: Initial Impressions,

Bassett was certainly awful, self important, pompous and defamatory on NatRad this am.

But I have to say I enjoyed hearing Hooten admitting that actually he is embarassed about the book and his parts in it and that he had acted like a bit of a "dick". (my word not his, but it is appropriate!) Made my morning.

  • Island Life: Citizen Key,

sorry to follow on after my own post, but I, too, find this talk of "working class scab" "from state house to multi millionaire" if not offensive, then bloody tedious.

I wasn't born with silver spoon, my life has turned out okay, but I don't view life as where I have been, but more in terms of where am I heading.

And, that I think is the question for us, the nation and Mr Key etc where are we heading? What is your vision?

  • OnPoint: Good-bye,

    Compie:

Believe me Wellington has slowed to a crawl too, since yesterday it is taking minutes for pages to load. I spoke to them this am and they got me to delete my cookies etc. I mean do they think we are all bloody morons! Unbundled is crap!

  • Hard News: Let's be hearing it,

I am not sorry to see Brash go! I am no fan of Key though, he comes over real smarmy at times. I hate that perpetual smirk!

I don't think he has the experience and frankly if he does not get up to speed quickly Helen will have him for toast in any debate outside of finance. But, maybe he won't get it either, maybe there is more to come out of this whole affair yet. English?

Brash is at pains to point out his resignation is not connected with the emails and the Hager book, but hell, that has to be the conclusion that most will draw from it happening today. Must have been an interesting caucus meeting.

Kiwiblog is ripping itself apart about the Investigate report/slime.

    Thanks JP

I am listening to A flock of seagulls now, simply because it was the first one that I came to. What a fantastic find!!!
