It was Schumi's clinical dominance of F1 that turned it into a monotonously foregone conclusion, and his arrogance and like of sportsmanship made him a hard chap to like.
Agreed, but that is the late Schumacher who I didn't like. But when he was dominating in a Benneton? That was awesome.
I think F1 hit its peak shortly after Senna/Villeneuve left. Since then, costs have risen and manufacturers have stopped seeing it as a viable media for promotion. [Hey, why spend $100m+ when you can just give 5 of your cars to Obama, Hilton and others and have them do the promoting?]

Wow, weird, I didn't know you knew Aidan, Hadyn.
Have you heard from him since he went to Oz? -
Come on, BB King? Surely they're more like Metallica. A diehard group of fans who will never admit that every statement they make to the press and every new release simply detracts from their once credible product.

OOOO, you're too good Angus. I fell for that hook, line and sinker.

Thank you Hadyn. Fully agree with you on the part about V8 fans, it is a constant source of disappointment to me. Like the idiot who was carting around a tv playing porn on top of the mountain this year.
*Shameless self-promotion moment*

For Japan to be competitive they'd need to bring in a fair number of foreigners.
I can't help but disagree with you.
For starters, you choose to pick on Japan, not North America despite the fact JAP are ranked hire than the US.
Second, Japan, under JK's leadership have developed a rugby program with an eye to the future, with rugby academies in AUS and the US.
Sure they got dicked by AUS in the RWC, but only lost by 4 points to Fiji and in the Pacific Nations this year beat Tonga and lost to Samoa by 6 points.
The main thing JAP are calling out for is player development and I think putting even one team could help their nation immensely. It should be noted though that JK is the one stalling the inclusion of JAP in S14, at least according to Steve Peppy Chew and Possum Head.

Woulda been cool if you'd talked about this photo here:

How about ol' Byron Kelleher aye? French rugby 'Player of the Year' :X
49ers are getting up now, Smith, Battle and Gore are a great 4th quarter combo (except for Smith being a retard and coming back from injury early) Live scoring made for interesting viewing yesterday, Cassel and the Pats tanked against the Dolphins, Bengals came back from 10 down to take the Giants into OT (which NY won 26 - 23), Saints went down to the Broncos, but Brees threw 421yds... Twice what Cutler made!
And as to the weekend's sport, wow! That Warriors match was f***ing awesome, as was Wellington.
