So ... how long until the hubbub starts over last night's episode of Rescue Me?
Or do New Zealanders not care about this sort of thing?

True Dat.

glass half empty
Certainly not.
My question was one of surprise - repeats of Boston Legal in the old Rove slot might be cause for celebration. Rove in a new time slot might be too.
And I'm still loving __Studio 60.

TV on Thursday and Friday is that bad?

Mind you, if National can't form a government next election at least the right wing bloggers will fall silent...
Hardly.
Renewed (and louder) complaints about something called "the Maorimander".
Laments against MMP as undemocratic etc. if they do well with electorates.
Repeated assertions that Labour stole the last election and shouldn't even have been in government this time.
Observations that they changed electoral laws in their favour... etc.

I've never noticed a lack of ads.
No ads - but still promos. They can tell you to watch the movie on TV tonight, etc, just can't tell you to buy McDonalds.
The same applies on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas and ANZAC morning.

Where would you draw the fairness line?
I'd start with accuracy. Saying someone said something they didn't say, or is something that they are not, is unfair (even if the person said something, or is, monstrous).

ron - children can drink alcohol at home. And smoke. And have sex. All without breaking the law.

IO - I think you mean Lisa Owen - a perfectly fine reporter, but at times she was painful to watch as an interviewer.
-
Eddie - it says about the Herald, what I was trying to say about the Herald.
I'd say, if anything, they're even closer to the american "Focus on Family" style lobby than Maxim.
I'd have thought that were obvious. Maxim are for the most part just conservative. I doubt Family First has many thoughts on free markets and economic policy.
