Another cricketing memory, being denied by Paddles for an autograph when I was about 7 at Mclean park after a test match. Selfish prick!
I had a similar thing at a similar age. I saw him at some event in Tauranga and wanted an autograph (though I suspect my Dad wanted it more) but he looked way too angry (Hadlee not my Dad) so I didn't even get to the asking.

Trouble is, it's an audience that already has Sky TV and enjoys watching sport in HD
Except that there is a difference between Sky TV and Sky TV + Sports. So I am part of the audience that wants to watch all the games but will be glued to free-to-air.
Also, what is the online coverage looking like?

Seriously, how did everyone know about the stream on Prime's website? At Ignite last night nobody I spoke to had heard of it (including some annoyed Canadians).

thank to it being on sky I saw more of the winter olympics than i did of the summer ones.
The complete opposite for me. I don't know why I never went to the Sky/Prime website. I suppose because it was usually during work and I guessed (incorrectly) that Sky wouldn't be doing that (they don't for other sports).
Now I think about it, I saw lots of ads for the coverage, but none mentioned going to the website (compared to TVNZ who pimp their site every minute).

As a public servant who does not work for a radio station, but who also has to deal with no pay rises and budget freezes and budget cutbacks and line-by-line auditing I wonder, where's my Facebook group?
I do like Radio New Zealand and think that losing it and it's level of quality would be a terrible thing. However, I can't seem to get up enough ire for this particular issue over any other public service.

Think you could go a long way with some marquis, temporary bars (think the heinekin bar from Highlife matakana,jagermeister bus etc) some PA systems, etc.
