They need perspectives from outside the advertising industry, and less self-congratulation.
The panel that discussed the Rhys Darby ad could easily recycle themselves in cabaret as The Three Douches. I liked the show apart from that segment though.

but I figure any other Field Theory regular won't have that problem.
Other than Hadyn obviously.

I'm cheering Stephen from the sidelines. Occasionally I may try to pass him a bottle of water. Jack too.

Just how much does the average tourist-cyclist pay towards this?
Towards what? Us having a basic road network?
How much do cars cost us in terms of accidents, breavements, safe driving campaigns, wear and tear on the roads, pollution, the massive imbalance in our import/export stakes caused by the necessity to import petrol and the cars themselves?...

"Asperger's - a form of autism characterized by extreme usefulness to screenwriters."
Priceless, Mr. Brown. Great show.

No point? It's early days yet. We're only on p19. I'm sure we'll get this objective v subjective value thing nutted out one of these days ...
It's always fun to drop in and sneer at the people who have an interest in these kinds of discussion, though, no?

Being in the right and dead strikes me as a very bad deal.
That pretty much sums it up for me. Still, to hear a spiel along the lines of "oh, you really should try driving a car, it broadens your perception, you feel the pressure waves, I tell you, ,man, it's like the fucking Matrix out there" quickly followed by "you either place yourself where I can see you or you're going to die" is still a bit galling!

So what position should I have been in?
I think either "behind the wheel of a car" or "in your living room".

This is another reason to learn to drive, so that you can see the road the way drivers do, for your own safety.
AAAARRGGGHHH!
