  • Hard News: Lucinda Williams made me cry,

Don't be a selfish prick and think of other people's enjoyment as being as important as your own.

I'm confused now. Do you mean "if you think other peoples enjoyment is as important as your own then you are a selfish prick"? or "Don't be a selfish prick, think of other people's enjoyment as being as important as your own.

  • Hard News: Lucinda Williams made me cry,

I can understand for some that that implies some movement, but I fail to see why "They shouldn't have been at a friggin' Stones show if they didn't want to dance" is seen as justification for behaviour that impinges on other people's right of enjoyment.

I thought Mark meant the behaviour of those demanding people sit down. ?

What does "guitar scorched" even mean?

    I'm glad you asked Sacha.
Well. I would deconstruct that as a Metaphorical Simile.
As in being similar to something that has been on the less temperate end of a hot, or scorching, guitar lick, If you will.
Touched by the glowing ember of an emotively chorded crescendo.
Or something equally pretentious in a seventies kind way.
    :-)

  • Random Play: Reality Bites,

    "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"

I bet you'll find that word is the IP of Disney and as such you would have to pay a percentage of that 40c to them.............probably.

  • Hard News: Veitch,

There are not enough references to Cheese on this thread.
This Guy got 180 hours community service and ordered to pay reparation for wilfully damaging a bag of feta cheese.
Enough is enough I tell you.

  • Hard News: Veitch,

    Yes, Susan Boyle.
I guess when the "Talent Scouts" come across someone like this it gets kept under wraps because when it gets out you want as much surprise as possible to create the perfect emotional storm.
You start out with a self congratulatory snicker, then the fear of embarrassment and then POW. a random act of beauty.
I sent the clip to a friend yesterday with the subject line "This will crack you up" he got back to me calling me all the bastards under the sun saying he couldn't stop blubbering all the way through. Oh Joy ;-)

  • Hard News: Veitch,

Paul Henry cued in with his now standard character assassination along the lines of" she's unemployed, well she must be if she looks like that." Honestly how is this vile man still on television?

Maybe like OJ he'll write a book. He could call it "If I Kicked Her." Because he doesn't appear to have taken genuine responsibility for the appalling thing he did. That speaks a lot to his character.

Tony Veitch and Paul Henry in the same thread, again I suspect.
So, when Tony writes the book about how much he has suffered. He'll rock on up to Breakfast and Paul Henry will slap him on the back telling him how he understands what men have to put up with and that "The B***ch" deserved it for being so pushy.
And then we get to see the back of the two biggest jokes on TV.

Bum. I thought I was being original with Bottle Store Galactica but hey, it's still local.
I think I'll have dinner and watch TV now.
Goodnight and bless you all. ;-)
