Ok, now you're just trolling.
My thoughts exactly.

...to regard all surgery as butchery
I quite like the orthopedic butchery performed on my shoulder a while ago.

Also, I could feel glum that out of the 120+ PAR pieces I’ve done, only a handful have attracted any comments at all but, you know, it doesn’t hurt to have your ego put in its place. :)
Now you're making me feel guilty! But for me it's simply not practical to listen to radio on my computer. At least not at work. So I pretty much never venture into this section of Public Address.
If there were transcripts I'd happily read them.
(And yes, obviously vasectomies and coffee are more important than anything else in the world. This must be the second time in a week I feel like I've been told STOP TALKING ABOUT TRIVIA - THIS IS IMPORTANT!).

Vasectomies are, after all, a very simple and straightforward procedure for healthy men, and prevent women from having to endure much worse.
I'm not sure that comparison holds unless you are referring to tubal ligation. And yes, that's a more major surgery than a vasectomy.

to find that a plastic tube has been inserted
Heh. One of my life's weirdest physical sensations was having the catheter pulled out. Not really painful - just weird.

Just checked and the clinic is actually called CityMed.
With informative pdf. And a page for Dr Young. He can also do your ingrown toenails while you're there.

Experience must vary.
Technique also varies between practitioners. Dr Young uses the keyhole method, which is supposedly less invasive and faster. No stiches either. Since one only gets to enjoy this procedure once, it’s hard to compare with the other, tradtional metod.
ETA: Described better here.

+1 on Gerald Young at AKL City Med Clinic. Very warm hands. I didn't bother with depilatory cream, though. My razor worked just fine.

I'm not surprised about the Aryan comments, however - it definitely comes with the territory when you're dealing with Norse Gods
True, but I believe it comes with the territory when dealing with any of the pre-Christian European religions. Norse mythology seems to be the better known, so has more followers (well, fans anyway). A large part of the European extreme far-right is simply looking for an identity more original, more exclusively defining and older than what Christianity provides.
Related to this, there's been some outrage by the casting of Idris Elba as Heimdall in the upcoming Thor movie.

Because I'm like that, when I saw "Ragnarok", I thought of the New Zealand acid-rock band from the 70s. Who are actually on MySpace.
LOL. You mean you didn't think of Swedish progg rock band Ragnarök from the early seventies (still going I notice)?
Or the Norwegian black metal band Ragnarok?
You're so local.
