Polity: Protesting too much: responses…, in reply to
Rob does data and strategic work. His main client is the Labour Party.
To be fair, that sounds a little like "David Farrar does polling work. His main client is the National Party"

I rather hope Christopher was trying for the sarcastic irony thing.

Hard News: The CRL and the nature of change, in reply to
This is an inescapable reality.
It's only inescapable in your private reality, Jim. Debt is not a zero-sum game and English has added more public debt than we've ever had before, despite tax cuts.

Courtesy of the Key tax cuts, and the subsequent cutting of spending in order to be able to afford those tax cuts.
Actually, it is policy-driven, more than economics. Because they were going to do this (and other cuts), they knew they could afford the tax cut vote winner promise.

Hard News: Radio being made, in reply to
But remembering watching eg Kim Hill interviewing, I don't know if that's a good idea either. KH is amazing to watch - her face races with ideas and emotions, her body-language fast and twitchy.
It's fascinating being interviewed by her. You really have to focus on what it is you want to say. ;-)

Bwahaha!
Despite the comments from the bench, both Henderson and Hide are far from conceding. The pair advanced opinions to the Herald that some of their arguments were so powerful it was not necessary for a mere associate judge to talk about them.
Zing! Kudos to Matt for such an insightful explanation. The main point I take is that you really don't want Hide as a supporter.

I don't enjoy the show's format at the best of times and I turned it off fairly quickly today.
Yeah, I'm the same, so I didn't bother. Shame, it could be good, but somebody removed adult supervision a few seasons ago and it's all too self-indulgent now.

Prime TV are re-running the David Bowie: Five Years doco at 8.30pm tonight.
Thanks for that. Saw this in time and the DVR is on. Vodafone/Sky still says it's Leonard Cohen, but it's recording and that's what matters.
