  • The New World Order: A Visual Guide,

Mr Beck is taking his comedy show on the road. Will punters have to check their guns in at the door?

  • Hard News: The Cullen investment,

I would love to think that there was someone out there who wasn't an existing Mayor who could capture the imagination of the whole Auckland populace.

    Any nominations?

Kerry Prendergast - OK she is an existing mayor but we could do with a change down here

Just on the Auckland Supercity question one thing, (well many things) but this will do for starters, if Auckland has all these problems why do people continue to live there / corporates continue to (re-)locate there? - Is it just the International airport?

Napier is good, ditto New Plymouth

  • Hard News: The Big Day Out, Auckland, 2009,

For all you people going to Leonard Cohen on Thursday, you are in for something special if last night’s Wellington performance is anything to go by and yes it was well worth the price of the ticket. To many high lights to list, indeed the whole performance is just one super highlight.
It’s the first concert I have been to where all the “roadies” are onstage providing vocals for the final encore. It was that kind of night.

  • Hard News: The Interesting Party,

More “Great Blends”, most excellent, hopefully combined with an “after match” at one of Wellingtons better hostelries.

Anyway, to Russell and all the PA community; “Nollaig shona agus athbhliain faoi mhaise duit, which for those of you not familiar with the Gaelic vernacular roughly translates as “Happy Christmas and a prosperous new year”.

    Sláinte

  • Random Play: Following The Songlines,

Funny, every body in the audience at Richard Thompson seemed to know the words

Leonard Cohen’s .....(There’s a show I’d like to see, but cannot afford the whopping ticket price).

I noticed in todays SST that Auckland had not sold out, yet (Welly sold out on the day the tickets went on sale :-).

Graham if you want any encouragement, check out this review of the Dublin show of June 14 this year. (Typical Irish summer weather by the look of it as well)

  • Hard News: Deadly Exuberance,

This week's best thing ever ...

Mr Campbell, I came into the office well over an hour ago to complete a 15 minute task, had a look at PA before I got started. I still haven't got stared.

    There goes productivity next week
