I thought all Vogon poetry ended with "See if I won't" which seemed rather apt for our Prostetnic, Joyce.
The Joyce Poetry is from his post Vogonic period where he literally rides in on the Dalek invasion that bought about the demise of hapless, tea-drinking ape like creatures.

This is an improvement on Queen:

Beware – the Poetry of Joyce.
See, see the insane cry
Marvel at the big black depth sky.
Tell me, Tell me, Tell me,
Oh hapless, tea-drinking ape like creatures
rate payer or tax payer, homeless tree dweller perhaps
Do you wonder why the Nightmare Browne, and
Key Man ignore you?
Why their foul stare or erstwhile grimace makes you feel cheated.
I tell you, it is that you may to account hold them,
to more than a worried handshake,
to more than a credit card smacked to the head.
A manipulation to vote.
Like rat salad to them, you are green and foul.
What's more, they know
Your razzle bottle smells of ferment and frog.
Everything under the big black sky is insane asking why,
why, why, why do you even bother?
To cast your future before Vogons who charm only curried favour.
Out of your depth dear Queen City sister and brother. -
I spend a lot of time in Newmarket - it too has small retail micro-shops - it has a mix of micro shops, high-end retail, malls, appliance outlet stores and cinema - it is more mixed than high end.
Queen Street is a more fun than it used to be – to me the real enjoyment is found in everything in and around it going from Quay Street all the way up to the Asian Restaurants in Upper Queen Street and then along K Road – the proximity of the water front, the parks, the Library and the Art Gallery.
What is currently makes the inner Auckland experience better is the change to the bus service with the three Link Bus services.
The nature and fabric of Auckland is that is more mixed retail than high end – I don’t mind it if parts of “Onehunga” and “Otahuhu” style shopping experience come more to the fore in the central Auckland and this includes Queen Street.
Cnr Brewer is quotes as saying "It completely runs counter to the mayor's vision of creating a world class city centre."Visitors coming to Auckland and having a great experience could well include sampling diversity in Queen Street that reflects the diversity that is Auckland.
The phrase “World class city centre” is part of the meaningless cheer leader type bollocks that Len Browne tends to bang on about – it translates to “We” need to spend your money on X, Y & Z and raise rates so be aware that you (the bulk of the ratepayers/tax payers) although funding the things X, Y & Z will basically be excluded from the access to any utility that may arise from “our” vision. The vision/planning thing needs to provide the greatest amount of “UTILITY” to the broader base of people that make up Auckland and allows visitors to the Auckland City to experience us as we are.
I can’t see that the Conference centre at Sky City is of much benefit to anyone except Sky City and its “friends of influence”. If they want a conference centre anywhere sort out the tank farm and do something cool.
I also just can't see Cr Brewer or Nightmare Browne getting on a bus and having any serious fun in Auckland City - so they miss out – I can live with that – but I have concerns about both of these guys making calls on our future, the direction of Auckland.
A more mixed and diverse experience in the Queen Street Area is my preference along with less cheer leading corporate bollocks.

And, dear old Heart. They were awesome musicians, really stuck it up those who said “rock is for men”, but dear lord, how tedious I found their stuff
I found their stuff mostly clever - liked how they could turn the beat on a song around - have their first five Albums.
The cover of "Little Queen" was dreamy, though I never did return either of their numerous phone calls, not wanting to cause bad blood between sisters - But I digress as one does in dreams.

An other thing rotten to the core is this as regards ACC:

For TV Journalism the piece was excellent.
Emperor Rooten to the Core Joyce tripped over his own duplicity in attempting to give a crooked answer to a straight question.
It would have been hilarious excepting the consequences of "all this" will be dire.

I also hate the Bee Gees
But this does it for me
Particularly the over 9 minute version on "Here at Last Live". The rest of the Album with the exception of "Jive Talking" is cringe inducing
