Rod Drury's Securing Our Digital Trade Routes is a good starting point.
Speed isn't the most critical factor, but rather it's the monthly data caps and global connectivity that are the issue, which the Kordia-PipeNet project could address if it goes ahead. A very big 'if'.

PS. Image embedding, as it works for YouTube, would be nice too, as long as the image is auto-resampled down. Now that would take a bit of number-crunching...

Speaking of vile people, I was reading a story at the Herald Online about Ryanair thinking about charging a fat tax. I made the mistake of looking at "Your Views". And it was a mistake.

Re: the NI/SI naming issue, people use the names Mt Egmont and Mt Taranaki interchangeably and no-one seems to kick up a stink.

and isn't it annoying when at last there's two good shows on telly, on different channels and, of course, they schedule them for the same timeslot. Utter contempt for their audience.
I haven't had a TV for the past 4.5 years, and I'm glad I made that choice. There's always OnDemand...
