yeah, not convinced by obamas speech. i thought mccain's was better.

mccain was a guy who could finally say what he wanted, whereas obama was pressing himself into the presidential mould. i actually related to mccain more.

  • Hard News: History is now,

There is much to celebrate about an Obama presidency, but I will also be heaving a sigh of relief that the Bush era is over, no matter what.

damn straight. that pencil-necked, coke-snorting drunky can rot in hell for the soldiers he's crippled, the 100k innocent civilans he's killed, and... stuff.

an hour and a half till results according to the google-map thingo.

    EXCITED.

anyone have any idea when we will get a sense on how California's Proposition 8 is breaking?

i have the feeling that the adam west 2012 campaign would be aghin proposition 8.

the kind of thing that a year ago Whaleoil would have done and Farrar would have linked to, but he wouldn't have done it directly himself. As in 2005 he seems to have been infected by the campaign again. I wonder what will happen with Kiwiblog next year, whether National wins or not.

    wondered exactly the same myself.

i had noted that dpf has slipped into election mode. it's probably the proximity of mr slater to his person while they travel together.

  • Hard News: Granny for Sale,

I'm loath to admit this, but he's not only done that, but has been, in all fairness, a very, good, solid, competent Minister of Foreign Affairs.

i'm not one to ever criticise peters...

but aren't the people praising his efforts as minister of foreign affairs (and racing of course, let's not forget that) forgetting the stirling work goff has done as minister of trade?

i'd be curious to hear which portfolio people think has contributed more to nzl over the last three years.

  • Island Life: Difficult to swallow,

Meurant possibly got confused with certain colorful mafia executions.

more likely he's remembering his own contribution to politics.

he helped someone make the tea.

'odious' is a word i'd freely use in relation to meurant. racist is another, but this isn't the place for that.
