    It’s all about cows’ wee.

Yeah this is a NZcentric problem methinks. But its got to the point where worldwide action is required and I dont see that happening, at all.
Our collective esteemed leaders seem intent on prying into what we (the masses) are doing. Ya know just in case we threaten their positions in any way whatsoever, and it wont be tolerated.
Yeah way to go guys! (dipshits)

Key was nowhere to be seen in Kerikeri on Saturday night, preferring to head to Melbourne for Sunday's World Cup cricket final.

Presumably, Auckland votes are more valuable than the last few strands of DNA

Bet they value their DNA inordinately! Is this what social Darwinism looks like (your emoji of choice here)

    an Arsehole.

  • Hard News: Villainy and engagement, in reply to SteveH,

No. But he was trying to make a point in his limited journalistic way. And journalism is a limiting way of looking at life. His point? This:

The affair is important because of what it says about the way we treat each other today. It demonstrated that the most vicious sort of verbal abuse has become widespread and acceptable to many.

I just ask why? His answers are puerile.
I'm better off working it out for myself. So are you.

  • Hard News: An unacceptable failure of care,

    Police culture and competence

On a general point find this case shocking for the girl and their families. And on police culture I don't know how deep competence checks go and how and if they are done.

But locally, the police cant be trusted to get anything right. They jump in hobnail boots and all when its not required, and turn a blind eye when they should be investigating fully and properly. Even tho they may be nice folks and all, professionally they just cant be trusted to get anything right, apart from issue traffic tickets.

    I’ll be dead anyway

Well seems this current crop of esteemed leader and money worshipers don't even think they will die, or they act as if they won't. Perhaps their god will come thru for them. Perhaps money can solve all ills! (time for a Tui ad). And anyway they are having way too much fun slagging off anyone who doesnt think like them. And thinking up delicious ways of enslaving people's while calling it by all manner of grand sounding titles.Zero hours! yes time will stand still till The Grand Hassnumarse's are ready, Nature will bend to their will.
