It is wrong of me to have found this photograph somewhat, er ... compelling, though?
There's a 'roused' joke in there, but I am not touching that with a bargepole.
And you know, I rant on all the time about sexualising athletes (not that I'm accusing anyone of that, you understand), but I am pretty much ready to give that up as a lost cause. Especially as I am a hypocrite on the matter.

When are you guys going to get over your obsession with tattooed chicks on roller skates wearing lingerie as outerwear?
Chicks playing an actual, serious, physical, hard out, athletic and skilled sport, for what it's worth.
Dismiss it all you like, but at least have the decency to acknowledge that.

repeated something I'd just said about Anna Scarlett in such a way that I had to punch him in the thigh.
hhhaaaaarrrrddd?
(that really is the easiest joke I get to make these days)

Hooray! Someone else - it looks like quite a few actually - who feels that watching NZ play anybody will ruin the team's chances!
Oh, I completely feel like that.
"oh yeah it's CAPSLOCK's time to shine!"
I think my favourite tweet was:
HOW WAS THAT NOT #$%^ING REPLAYED BALL?

Netball world champs, 2003. Temepara George getting sent off with minutes to go. I'm pretty sure that game went to the two-goal overtime thing, too.
Last night's game was better, but that game would be a close second.
And Irene missing that goal? Total flashbacks to Donna Loffhagen.
And last, not to be all typically kiwi, but those really were some awful umpires.

I'm not sure if spelling Nazism or pronunciation Nazism is worse. Both are pretty damned annoying, although probably necessary in some professions.
Pretty fundamental to what I do, yes. But I would argue pretty important in life, too. But I am an awful pedant.

I knew someone who would do that in speech. Drove me nuts.
I hear it on TV and the radio all the time.
I have taken to emailing the people I know to tell them they are Doing It Wrong.
Yeah, people don't like me much.

<pendant>
woman = wuhmin
women = wimmin
They are quite distinct sounding.
Seriously. Pet Peeve. I yell at people people for saying it wrong.

I wonder if the resulting trauma is what has made so many contemporary New Zealanders unable to form the plural of "woman".
Pet. Peeve.

I'm still kind of annoyed I didn't go to Otago, where they get fluffy bits on their hoods.
