As it was the crowd only became excited when Chris Martin hit a four and Ian O'Brien setting a personal best run total (19).
Martin's four over the bowler's head was about the only positive shot I saw from our feeble team all that day.
Maybe he and McIntosh should swap places in the batting line up.
We clearly got carried away with ourselves last game. The Indians have done us a favour - reminding us how badly we suck at test cricket.

I'm no fan of the current government, but I don't think we should compare them with the Bush administration just yet.
Hide is like a angry dog tied to a pole. He'll make a lot of noise and frighten a lot of people, but unless the rope breaks no-one will get bitten.
The Nats won the election by appealing to the middle. I suspect Key knows that if he lets Hide loose it would be political suicide.
Of course I could be wrong, in which case we should all start building our doomsday bunkers now.

I'm sure this will be one of those things Key and English just humour Rodney on.
"Yes, a very interesting paper on rates-capping, Rodney. Well done! Yes of course we'll read it. Now off you go and sit in the corner like a good support partner."
Hide is nuts if he thinks his proposal will get past cabinet.
Or maybe he's just nuts, and I don't need to give a reason.

So the boss of a failed finance company is telling us how to run our country. No wonder the Business Roundtable loves him.
I wonder who'll give next year's Trotter lecture - Rod Petricevic? Mark Bryers?

Nah, Del's got a sense of humour. Garrett's idea of a fun time would be a guided tour of Gitmo.
You're right - no similarity. One of them makes a living peddling crap to unsuspecting punters. The other is a TV sitcom character.

Is it just me that sees a staggering resemblance to this man?
He'll always be Del Boy to me

I'll let you have the next wicket

Now if we could just winkle Dravid out I'd be even happier.
Mission accomplished!

BTW, any wagers on David Garrett being this term's Bob Clarkson?
I agree largely with Graeme. Clarkson was a colourful buffoon who always had his foot in his mouth. Who can forget his comments about “Islam religion-type people” and how if they didn't like it in NZ they could "go back to Islam"? (er, where is that on the map?)
I don't for a minute suggest that what Clarkson said wasn't often offensive. But his brain explosions couldn't be taken seriously.
Garrett, on the other hand, is a piece of work, and his obsession with making NZ a police state worries me. Yesterday he was on the radio advocating that people charged with a "third strike" offence shouldn't be given legal aid.

Maybe the Warriors will be able to pick up some former rugby players returning from France.
Sonny-Bill?
Seriously though, the French move can only be good news from NZ's point of view. We'll always have players who leave NZ for career or lifestyle reasons, but the ludicrous amounts of money that once were available in France and the UK look like they're history.
Now if we could just winkle Dravid out I'd be even happier.
