The movement of tumbling water seems to have been the reason those kids started cartwheeling. I think around 2005.

I have a negative somewhere in the building and will ferret it out. I loved the wee tiles schoolchildren made that were part of the water feature where that steel structure is.

Hi Lilith, I feel this is a bit like looking at a favorite family member. We try to recall the happy times we had . While i am not an original Cantabrian i have become very attached to the Canterbury Plains and feel a strong connection to this place.
There will be pretty places once again to meet family and friends in the not too distant future. -

As soon as humanly possible i will go there and take those snaps. As you probably know they are deconstructing the Park Royal now and therefore it's off limit to mere mortals. I know now which fountain you refer to. As a matter of fact i will go there now and see what i can and what i can not see. Gotta run......

Yes Hebe it is. A little red oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Colombo Street and Armagh Street. A good thing is the trees and the benches are still there and it wont be long before we will sit once again in the park and share stories.
