we need to breed some groin-less All Blacks.
Action Dan, the greatest hero of them all.

They have as much right and responsibility to be free as anyone else.
If you want to argue about an appropriate approach towards rehabilitation/societal integration, that's fine. But personally I'm comfortable with loose cannon who are demonstably violent to the point of being able to secure a conviction and an incarcerative sentence being kept off the same streets as me.
Erwin James was convicted of violently murdering two random strangers. By his own admission, it took him many years of his 20-year sentence before he himself was able to face up to his actions and start to rebuild himself into something other than a randomly violent sociopath.
Call me weird, but personally I'd prefer people whose violent tendancies have been clearly demonstrated to the extent that they have managed to secure a period of incarceration for themselves to be kept in a location where they can't do me physical harm.

E.g. I reckon the one single aim of the occupy movement should be to open up all the prisons. Start by freeing people. You don't need to disband the police. Trained professionals who can impartially resolve disputes are handy to have around. But people should be free.
Erm, seriously?

I have some sort of mental disconnect, obviously.
I think you've got that turned around 180. But I would say that.
I'm sane, I tell you! It's all of you out there that should be in here, not me!

The big spenders of the Lions Tour aren't around because the money isn't there any more. Where the UK pound bought you so much in '05, now it buys you much less
Yeah, good point. The Sterling/Kiwi dollar exchange rate fluctuated around 1:3 for years (including the Lions tour), but was relatively steady. Now it's down to a relatively steady 1:2.
Better if you're shifting money offshore, but not so great the other way.

I feel only sadness for you. :)
Well, having just been to the rather harrowing world press photo exhibition, I'm not really inclined to lose any sleep on my own behalf by white whining.
Besides which it just occured to me that I've seen all three 'toy story' films, 'finding nemo', 'the incredibles', 'wall-e', and 'up', so maybe that counts?
Anyway, last day of the exhibition is Sunday. so I'd urge everyone to go if they haven't already. But you'll probably need a stiff drink afterwards.

Though it wouldn’t surprise me if you have used a device, or program, that was the way it was in response to an Apple innovation
No doubt. I've not not used Apple because of some sort of philosophical objection. But I wass thinking about it this morning and I've never used an Apple desktop or Macbook, and I've never owned an iPod, IPad, or IPhone.
But I am something of a late-adopter...

Steve Jobs shaped much of my working life with products that I don't believe would have existed without his personal drive.
I've never, in my entire life, used an Apple product. Ever. But I still find myself mildy affected. The man clearly had a singlular drive, passion and vision of what he wanted. In that respect, what he was doing was in some ways seems closer to the artisitic process than it was manufacture or commerce. It was a singular vision, not that of a committee or focus group.
So I doff my cap in respect to that vision, and that drive, and the fact he suceeded when so many fail.
And, like many artists, being something of a prick just seems to come inextricably intertwined with the territory.
