This is a big puriri tree in Opotiki
Hey! That's my old tree! Well, it's at the end of the road we lived in, and I spent many a day running round that little block of forest between the ages of 0 and 7. Happy memories. And that Waiotahi Beach road also. Making me homesick.

Home in 10 days time, after 10 months of immersion in the Japanese education system.
What an amazing experience Geoff. Look forward to hearing her impressions and stories of life in Japan, having spent my own formative year there, although at a later stage in life.

That's a place I'd love to visit. Have got to know the owner through Twitter, strangely, and I think she may have posted on here once or twice. Lovely people, by all accounts.
