so like I went inside you know, and I turned on my tv
and you know what I saw?

I saw John Banks he was telling me...

In my room I have built a religion of a kind
I've found virtue in things that stay the same
In my room I measure time by the things that I use up
And just like my shopping list I will never changeThis too. Actually, ++ this one.

I used to do things,
and I'd say things,

Ah ha, hush that fuss, everybody off to the back of the bus
Oukast - Rosa Parks.
I tend to like what Apple brings to the equation. Advanced usability, slightly better functions and premium pricing. The rest of us get these advances about a year later at half the price. When any product takes up too much of the market however, other competitors start to get marginalised and find it difficult to turn a profit with better product - witness the iPod, which really doesn't deserve anything like the great majority of users it has. Monopolies, by design or default, harm innovation and improvement.

BRIGHT Penny
She'll inject life into things. Who said this was boring?

It was a truly novel experience to be in the center of the city 17 minutes after coming through customs, for the princely sum of $6.50. Y
Did you jump the stiles? The access fee to the station is $11.80AUD, with a regular ticket on top of that.
is that it? Honestly?
It isn't. Banks is very much aligned with C&R, who have an agenda that includes selling all Auckland's major assets, reducing rates while increasing user-pays, and scaling back public services. Meanwhile, Brown is aligned with Labour.
The difference between them is night and day.

I'm just wondering why an independent can't win?
I'm wondering why there seem to be no women in the running, and who might credibly stand in 2013.

You lucky bastards. That is all.

It would perhaps be more sensible to put away the bad words for once and take a break from pointlessly personalising the issue.
Quite so. You make points clearly here and on your blog. There's no need to smear invective over them.
People make the wrong decisions, for the wrong reasons. By the mid-2000s it was pretty clear to me that many of Cullen's were about priming a bubble economy - and for that reason I think the National Government have a point. There isn't much way for them to let huge masses of non-productive capital out of the economy without stagflation or a prolonged recession, or a collapse in property (residential, commercial, and farm) prices. Of course, I'm hardly convinced they think inflationary capital is a bad thing either. But the point is that Cullen, like his counterparts, thought he had the interests of New Zealand in mind. Calling him something peurile might make you happier - he may deserve it - but it drives away people for whom it grates. I can't tell you how to blog, but I negative comments from reasonable people about the tone of your blog, at the same time as they commend the content.

Giovanni, that is brilliant. I can't believe it took me this long.

I forgot to note that I use Windows Notepad for most writing, in the way that one would use paper. It has no features, and is thus almost perfect for scribling down several pages at a time without annoying formatting. Footnotes simply go to the bottom of the document. To use those infamous words, It Just Works.
Any other simple text editors people would recommend?
