Thanks for this! Will see whether we can go. Where's Log Recording? Seen a number of gigs listed there but never managed to work out where it is in town.

The bandcamp page says, "Nicole - Vocal".

There's an album on bandcamp by Trillionaires who, I have found, did a similar kind of thing - cover versions of popular tunes (albeit in a garage style). They were also Chch based and featured, amongst others, John Christoffels (Terminals), Mick Elborado (Termals, Scorched Earth Policy, Axemen), Malcolm Grant (Builders, The Bats). It's here:

Sorry that there are no more videos from the Word Christchurch evening: I was getting my book signed by Roger (and Bruce Russell - squeee!) at the time.

  • Hard News: Friday Music: Christchurch,…,

Hello. I haven't been in NZ long but am enjoying finding out about the NZ scene from the 80s (although not managing to hear much as everything is so darn rare). I see mention of Ronald Wade Churton in the comments here. In Bruce Russell's "Nuncast", he mentions that Mr Churton played on the Riptoids' "In The Pocket" EP on Onset/Offset (hope this link works): https://www.soundcloud.com/flyingnunrecords/and-the-maggots-dance-1-2-3
