When I was about 19 some mates from Uni and I went to Oz for the summer break to have a look and earn some dosh. We decided to go to the Gold Coast for New Years and we were there for a week sleeping on the beach (having to get up early b4 the morning patrol came along to clean up vagrants like us). It's a crap place but we were young and loved most of it.
However, they had a "beach radio" that had about 6 songs on rotation (maybe it was more but that's how I rememeber it) blasting from loud speakers. And remember we were literally living on the beach.
One of them was "Lady in Red". I was so fucking sick of that song - I think we would have stayed longer if they had changed to some other (**any** other) banal crap. To this day (and that was a loooong time ago) I cannot hear that song without gritting my teeth a little. -
Is the 3 digit security number on the back of the card the same?.
My CC number was same too, but 3 digit security number was changed.

I received a new BNZ Visa replacment about 2 weeks ago due to a security concern. When I rang up to find more details I wasn't given many. I was told that certain businesses in Auckland *may* have had a security problem and that BNZ were being proactive in the interests of security blah blah.

Yup, Tony Veitch has to go if anything like what has been said is true. Goddam it, it's just not OK.
It's a great campaign and (as if the actions themselves didn't warrant it) the undermining of it alone should be cause enough to get him booted.
Up until I heard the viciousness of the assault I was fence-sitting, probably because of the image he portrayed on screen - I liked the guy (or the image) but if he's done what it has been said, there is no longer any doubt in my mind. -
Greenpeace are trying to promote this and asking people to vote for it on the various sites:

Not exactly on the same thread but my dialup to Ihug has been screwed for three weeks. Apparently "some exchenges" have issues and mine (Mangawhai) is one of them. When I dial the number I get a "Your call can not be connected at this time. Please try again later." message.
Apparently it's due to a switching issue. It's been working fine for 3 years, what did they do? And why, after 3 weeks is it still unresolved? Engineers trying to sort out mail servers?
I've signed up with another ISP for now, but as I have to use a satellite connection for "broadband" I'm kind of short on permanent alternatives.
