  • Southerly: Village People,

    The main street

I know it's just association with the power ad that comes up next to your post but I can't help expecting to see a Dalek coming down the nice smooth and step free street. Please make sure you have some spray paint handy to block their eye stalks.

  • Southerly: Village People,

and the small person responsible for making the recipe so damned difficult

I love the "who me?" look of sweet innocence on her face.

  • Up Front: One, Redux,

I'm a nest builder. I don't like moving home. I don't like moving office. I don't like moving jobs. I know this about myself and accept it.

So to me the hardest thing would be have my home, my nest change underneath me ... and keep changing

You have my deepest sympathy, all of you.

If they can make a lid that doesn't fill up with water and weigh 40 kg after 2 years I'd be a customer. Mind you it acts as another layer of safety because any child that can lift the lid is one I don't want to meet in a dark alley.

It’s like we’re trying to find things to disagree on

snort - you have actually met most of us so you should know we are a bunch of cantankerous farts who live for a good argument.

But you are right of course

  • Southerly: Deconstruction and Construction,

Oh the joy of a sledgehammer and the license to demolish.

Great to see you are making progress and also great to see Bob declaring his intent to be a builder of wonders.

Spa pools come into their own as the body gets more prone to declaring it's weaknesses and switching to peroxide instead of chlorine make maintenance much easier. Now if we could just get a lid that lasted longer than 2 years.

It puzzles me that some people can't see how far she is already coming to meet the rest of us.

This kind of sums up the injustice. She is doing what she can to make the conversation possible, but there are some things that are impossible for her.

The Speaker is NOT doing what he can to make the conversation possible. The things he won't do are entirely possible and as most people can see and have said are reasonable. Still he won't do them.

The silver lining in all this is the fact that any other differently-abled person that is elected to Parliament won’t have to face the same problems as Mojo Mathers here.

It's nice to see such charming optimism in an ER. Seriously, I admire the ability to avoid becoming a tired old cynic.

No I didn't spring to the defense of any such thing. What I said was national's silence looked bad. Someone not far from here once gave me verbal spanking for putting words in his mouth he didn't say, perhaps you should listen to him too.
