the sequincers rule…
Oh these are wonderful. My robots are not proper robots, merely decoration robots. In homage to all true robots, of course. I took the shots on holiday in Napier in January 2011.
Decoration robots rock, too!
Looks like the kind of thing you could sell at that marvellous Napier design emporium Aroha and Friends – much to admire there, I like the screen prints and bird cages and the kiwi creativity…
(there’s even a deleted scene from Boy in there somewhere and some great music) -

just the facts...
...how hard is it for us as a species to understand that everything we have comes straight from nature, and when we die we’re going straight back to nature, and that we are inescapably a part of nature? Or that when nature no longer finds us useful we’ll be discarded, just like countless other species before us? Our survival as a species depends on that understanding and acceptance of those facts.
Excellent summation - could the Education Dept see that that is printed on all our school exercise books in future!
Oh, and given to every politician, too! -

Engineers recommendations...
and the hits keep coming...
The Christchurch Art Gallery will not reopen until the middle of next year (2013), the gallery's director says.
Jenny Harper said engineering reports indicated the gallery had suffered structural damage in the earthquakes.
...
"Due to the extent and the complexity of the likely repair work, it has become clear that the gallery will not be able to reopen as early as we had hoped," Harper said. They are looking at maybe using CoCA's premises - so what has happened to The Canterbury Society of Arts one wonders...
