The headless ship of state sails on...
You think we have problems with a recalcitrant Purser.
Spare a thought for the sailors aboard the Carrier George H W BushThe (US) Navy’s newest aircraft carrier has a messy problem. Since deploying in May, the Norfolk, Va.-based carrier George H.W. Bush has grappled with widespread toilet outages, at times rendering the entire ship without a single working head.
Read my lips, indeed!

Robber Barrens...
As the Boomers age out of that bracket, crime rates reduce.
Though criminal acts seem to be increasing in the white collar banker / investment sector, John Key hails from those parts doesn't he?

Peter Goodfellow withdrew from Morning Report today after promising to come on and talk about Epsom
Could he be Robin Goodfellow's brother?
that shrewd and knavish sprite
Call'd Robin Goodfellow: are not you he
That frights the maidens of the villagery;
Skim milk, and sometimes labour in the quern
And bootless make the breathless housewife churn;
And sometime make the drink to bear no barm;
Mislead night-wanderers, laughing at their harm?
Those that Hobgoblin call you and sweet Puck,
You do their work, and they shall have good luck:
Are not you he?The Old English "puca" is a kind of half-tamed woodland sprite, leading folk astray with echoes and lights in nighttime woodlands, or coming into the farmstead and souring milk in the churn.
Puck's trademark laugh in the early ballads is "Ho ho ho."

Key yesterday said he could not remember if he suggested NZ First supporters were "dying out".
He says that a lot!
It worries me that we may a memory impaired - possibly early stage Alzheimers - person at the helm of our country, and he is looking tired (and grumpy and maybe some other dwarfs, too)...
maybe it's for the best that a surprise landslide sweeps him from power, rather than him being pushed in front of increased heavy traffic by Mr Joyce, a few miles down the track...
