    As above, so below...

I think you’re asking this in good faith, but I just don’t really feel like answering it, because it’s not especially relevant to the argument at hand.

Deja vu - how Brash of you...
see him do exactly this at about 6:30 in...
(watch the whole documentary if you haven't before)

    Proof that time is mutable

which was actually 13.02 Sept 7 - ie about ten minutes ago !! So I'm just wondering why the auto-assessment of when things were posted is half a day out of whack?

    Discos with diss...
I remember there used to be the odd altercation between punks and discoers outside places like The Liberty Stage (bands upstairs and disco downstairs)...

    a win-no win for tobaccaddicts
& a wind win for those downwind

To keep the alfresco nightshade consumer happy and still able to seek solace in the Solanaceae family, may I put in a plug for chewing tobacco ...
    - but please take a jar with you to spit in!

Sadly while users may save their lungs this way, they'll still be running the risk of contracting oral cancers.

Also, just wondering how the non-smoking in prisons is going, I haven't heard of any recent riots...

I wonder does someone (some foreign entity) have a fibre splitter in our main fibre trunks somewhere?

    Someone like Cisco perhaps?
They seem to be keen on appeasing governments...

    a type nerd

My name is Ian, I too am a type nerd.
One time I ordered a book on type use that sounded really interesting , and was aghast to see the whole thing had been set in a tacky script font, talk about not putting their 'knowledge' on display...

Anyone out there collect typesetters font books?
I have a whole shelf of them that need a good home...

    No particulate place to go...
a passing observation - Just went out to get the paper, as a school girl in uniform went by in a cloud of smoke - Puff the Magic Drag On brand must be doing well...

    tabagie...
The French always have a word for these things...

Tabagie - Originally, meaning "a group of smokers who meet together in the manner of a club." It was just about to go the way of the dodo, but now suddenly a renaissance—in all of the major American cities one can find them once more, a tabagie, huddled together outside bars and workplaces and restaurants, united in suffering under the ban of their favorite activity.

How do you know we haven’t? ;-)

    Good point,
    but dammit,
    if I know your point
    I can't know your speed
    or time and vice versa...

    hmmmm
I think you are on to something:
    motions at a fixed point
    potions at a mixed font
    mixes in a photon soup
    light relief and then
    the odorous paperwork
    time passes...

We also talked about how we hated the word “closure”.

Now that the Big Rugby Festival is almost upon us can I say how much I dislike the phrase "Going forward", everyone knows Sid was a halfback!
