  • Hard News: MegaBox: From f**k-all to zero, in reply to Graeme Edgeler,

I think I/S needs content-aware GPS accelerometer-equipped AR glasses with commercial-message image-sensing pixel-replacement software. Didn't Google work with Adobe on something like this? Maybe it could also replace the heads of people he doesn't like with a big smiley.

  • Hard News: The Public Address 2012 Word…,

Last year W. Peters obliged the WOTY hunt with “cinderella-ised”. And today he gives us "irrebuttable". Which at least has the decency to be a real word.

If I want to update an app on an iPad will the update proceed even if it's not able to run on the installed iOS?

  • Capture: Mama Don't Take My Lytro Camera…,

I can't get my head around how the web embedding might work. When clicking on the image, are you able to select a near-infinite number of focal distances? Or are these just 20 or so stacked images, enough to select a decent image for wherever you might click?

  • Hard News: Telling stories about us, in reply to nzlemming,

Most people will watch whatever is put in front of them, and they're encouraged to do so by the hype and bullshit that the channels throw at them about upcoming shows. Even otherwise intelligent people seem to tweet about shit like Project Runway or Masterchef Rotovegas or somesuch, so they must be watching it, god help them.

What a load of condescending rubbish.
