  • FletcherB,

What possible purpose could a Coroner's inquest do in the Bain case?

Well, depending on if it came back with 'murder' or 'suicide' for Robin Bain.... it could give a very strong indication to the public at large whether "not guilty' should be interpreted as 'evidence not conclusive enough' or 'innocent'.

When will I get bored with my iPhone?

Can't answer that. If you were to ask me when I will get bored with *your* iPhone, however...

    With your current one?

    Now.

It's quite amusing that the NZ Apple Store has the new iPhone 3Gs -- just not the price, which is likely to be horrifying for those of us already stuck with Vodafone plans for our totally uncool old iPhones.

  • Damian Christie,

Truth be told, that was an old question, about the iphone. I started to get bored when I had to charge it every night and even then still ran out of power every couple of days; and became disillusioned when I had to reinstall everything because my apps all stopped working in what is apparently a well known and very standard glitch.

And Giovanni will be happy to know that every time I say "oh, I can answer that question, just let me google...", the entire system seems to go so slowly that I might as well be using a yoghurt container attached to a bit of string...

    And for your unasked question:

"What would happen if Standard & Poors had dropped our rating ?"

  • Gareth Ward,

When we get our new Supercity, can we make our new Knights guard the main gates?

As Richard Boock said: "Sadly, however, today's knights don't seem at all disposed towards mortal combat, nor even the idea of suffering a mere flesh wound. Which makes you wonder why we bother having them at all. I mean, if they're not allowed to roam the countryside blocking bridges and smiting each other over the top of their battle helmets, what useful purpose can they serve? It's not as if they're needed to defend the realm. Most of them struggle with the stairs."

Take a look at Ireland who have been dropped from AA+ to AA-

And then go and take a look at the 10% contraction in their economy and their 17% unemployment rate and recognise that they are a totally different kettle of fish to us.

Yes. see how far down the gurgler you have to be to have S&P downgrade yer ass? which is why I called BS on Key and English's scare tactic. they're just like the junkie that helped you look for your wallet, which was in their pocket all the time.

Our wine tasting group ran a sweepstake on how long it would take my wife to mention her new iPhone at our regular tasting.
