  • Samuel Scott,

Ha, well I don't think you need to do research...music is either compelling or not of course. I had such a different experience to a bunch of my friends at the Fleet Foxes show last month. I thought it was well below par, other people felt it was a religious experience. The drummer did quit a few days later so maybe I picked of on some stage tension.

And I'm sure my judgement on Pixies is entirely clouded by the fact the fact that I have loved everything they have ever done and they have been one of my have bands since I was 13.

  • Grant McDougall,

The sound / acoustics issues and quality of ther gigs aside, you lot in Auckland and Wellington should just quit whining and just be greatful these bands make it to your cities.

I don't expect big names to come to Dunedin and at best only a few of them bother to play Christchurch, so stop your nit-picking and just be thankful, ok ?
