  • Paul Campbell,

I'm glad you grabbed the street art - there's been a bunch of great banksy-like stencil work round town in the past few years (and then there's the banana-slugs which my daughter informs me are really giraffes)

  • Craig Ranapia,

All the best for tonight, Damian -- I'm sure you will navigate the turbid seas of geek-speak and political blatheration in high style. :)

  • JohnAmiria,

I only learned what an autocue looked like yesterday

Yeah, right ... next you'll be telling us you had no idea what women really used 'facial massagers' for...

  • Russell Brown,

    You did great.

    He did.

At the risk of laying it on a bit thick (I told Damian so afterwards), coming into a two-hour live show as your TV host debut is really hard. Pulling it off at three days' notice, doubly so. Well done that man.

Indeed - only caught the first hour (the computer decided not to play nice) but Damian did a bloody good jobs. And at the risk of sounding like I'm trying to give you and Fran O'Sullivan a bi-curious rim job, the panel didn't do a half bad job of trying to keep a little reality in the room. :)

Yeah - what was with the focus on bras for the second hour?
    [hey - I didn't get a bite on the other thread :-) ]

I didn't get it there, I don't get it here :) Was there a programme about bras on TVNZ 7 between 10-11? We were kinda, um, busy.

And thanks guys, I actually had heaps of fun, it wasn't half as nerve-wracking as I thought it might be. And the politicians were all remarkably well behaved, shutting up when I asked them to, which was good of them. I thought it made for entertaining, if slightly geeky, television.

  • Sofie Bribiesca,

I thought the pan shot straight to you Damian was rather clever , just as Rodney Hide mentioned Sean Plunkett.:)

    Yes.

My point being a brickbat to TVNZ7. Internets, sure, but why not air the whole thing on TV?

  • Hamboy,

Is it going to added it to ondemand or U tube?
Or may be repeated in full on TVNZ7?

The first hour only is repeated on TVNZ 7 at 12.10pm today and tomorrow at 10.10pm.

I can't see anything that says the whole thing will be available online (the second hour was slightly more relaxed, and worth seeing) but I'll see if I can find out.

  • Sacha,

The lively audience and the respectful banter between the politicians is what I'd like to see in all election debates. Not holding my breath.
