Jets and Lions to tie for 16-0 this year, if Jets don't pick up Vick or Garcia.
I won't be able to make it to Malthouse, but will try get to the cricket. Bit hectic tomorrow with rugby early arvo, dinner with grandparents and 21st all of which are [literally] at opposite ends of Wellington from one another.

Maybe the Warriors will be able to pick up some former rugby players returning from France.
Sonny-Bill?
Seriously though, the French move can only be good news from NZ's point of view. We'll always have players who leave NZ for career or lifestyle reasons, but the ludicrous amounts of money that once were available in France and the UK look like they're history.
Now if we could just winkle Dravid out I'd be even happier.

I'd love to have met y'all tomorrow, but I have a game of football to play and then a wedding to attend. Shame, because I love Epic!
I think Cutler will do alright in Chicago. I think the Bears had to do something like that to try and keep the fans onside. Basically when you've had to put up with Orton and Grossman you might start to think that the Bears were a waste of your supporting time and dollars.

Mission accomplished!

Well, if you get a QB you've gotta protect him.....
I wonder if Urlacher put some pressure on them to tool up the offence? -
@Stuart

I don't know if the 30% rule will have any effect on NZ.
Just looking at the current Stade Francais squad they have 41 players on their books (this is a slightly out of date wikipedia squad list) with 29 of them being French (70.7%) so they wouldn't have to do anything. Also their squad doesn't include a single NZer. It'll be the Argentinian players who may notice a difference as they pretty much ALL play their rugby in France.
Also most of the French sides have a player or two from random places like Cameroon and several from the likes of Italy, Scotland, the Pacific Islands... and it's THEM that will get the chop first, not the higher quality NZ players.
Toulouse have 23 French players out of 34 so would have to drop one foreigner to comply. And its a good bet it would be one of their Tongans or Fijians. Not a kiwi.
I'll be at the Warriors this avo to see if their B team can beat NZ B. Should be interesting just to see what the hell happens even if the game night struggle in terms of quality. But we will see...

Also, anyone catch the news that the Warriors may be moving to Eden park. Just a possibility at this stage but apparently the royal commission on local governance has said that they need to rationalise stadiums and Mt Smart may get the chop (where to for the BDO?). Moves are already afoot by Dalton to see if they can make it happen. I'm a bit surprised to be honest because I actually see Mt Smart as being a better longterm option in terms of location as a super stadium. If the Warriors move there it virtually doubles overnight the number of well attended sporting fixtures at the ground which would cause a whole lot more grief in terms of the local residents.
Also Mt Smart can have massive stands built with f all issues about resource consent, it has a railway line nearby, it is handy to motorways, in an industrial area and relatively handy to drive to. Takes me 25 minutes from Massey way out west. Eden Park is about 10 minutes closer for me but then again if people are on the other side of Auckland the opposite applies.

I've become frustrated over the past couple of years as Dunedin and Auckland have gone through new stadium debates with the desire to throw money at facilities embedded in residential areas. It's the argument of the anti-stadium people down here that I dislike the most.
Spending money on stadiums that are surrounded by houses seems crazy to me. Sporting facilities should be part of their surrounding location, not in opposition to it.
