I really liked Jay Clarkson’s Man with no desire
It provides another route to Portishead territory – very evocative.and The Clean instrumental At the bottom
- coulda/shoulda been a Bond Theme!
whereas the treatment of ‘Point that thing’ was unrecognisable and odd, ‘Getting Older’ and ‘Born in the wrong time’ worked way better to my ears.The Andrew Lloyd Webberising of the rest didn’t sit that well for me, maybe it was just the ‘one-tone’ soprano-stylings…
but good on ’em, there are some gems…
