  • Islander,

History of here, Geoff - he *may* be traceable through the archives, maybe not. Go for 'Lil P'...

  • Kracklite,

Dribblette, like all trolls, is most definitely not asking any question in good faith.

Mediocrity, as Arthur Conan Doyle once put it, knows nothing higher than itself. This troll is, typically, one of those mediocre individuals who believes that certain people have elected themselves as his superiors and wants to trip them up somehow with some clever little paradox that will “reveal” their pretence, as he sees it.

Now Dribblette is getting frustrated because we all know what he’s playing at and nobody wants to play his game according to his rules.

I expect that his next post could be paraphrased as “Waaah!” Actually, that’s the essence of the last one…

that's cos someone DELETED the whizzo post preceding what you see above, sir! As in P Minus, i like that very much, well done!)

  • son of little p,

here's how it looks to me. The first assertion regarding 'good faith' is a statement of near esoteric mystery to me. I can't really get past it. And i think you put it there as just that, an insuperable barrier..

near esoteric mystery to me. I can’t really get past it.

    Indeed. Quod erat demonstrandum.

  • son of little p,

Why do you never fail to MAKE IT 'all about me' though? I totally do not get that! Had what i thought was a splendid wheeze concerning an exmaination of the social dynamics involved in 'trolling' someone (you've never even met) on the one hand, and endowing a person with "asperger's syndrome'? Shared this with ya, and what happens! A rush of ritually-suffocating sniffs and snorts and mention of 'adulthood', and that's about it! (save for Mr Waugh!) I just sense no sense of good sport there at all (Might 'good sport' be distantly related somehow to your 'good faith' ?)

  • Kracklite,

    Oh dear, you poor thing!

Let's see, "ass-burger" = "good faith"? Continued use of scare quotes. Nope, does not compute. Sorry.

    splendid wheeze

Only if you mean "gasping for breath".

  • son of little p,

i suppose you're gonna criticise me next for 'excessive deployment of exclamation-marks'! I mean, are you a blog or a convention of fusty old schoolmasters or what?

    Since Apr 2011 • 38 posts Report

  • Kracklite,

    Translation of above: "Waah!"

Translation of "Quod erat demonstrandum": Thus it is proven.

Actually, I am roughly an old schoolmaster. A middle aged university tutor/lecturer/intellectual odd-job man and what have you. Dunno about everyone else here.

… I know, I know, Do Not Feed The Troll.

What about feeding on the troll? There aren’t any flies about (a combination of the cold and the spiders I care for took care of them), so I can’t pull their wings off.

what IS the future in calling someone endless, ritualistic names? Can you honestly answer that, w/out resorting to yet more?

  • son of little p,

the smugness is just overpowering, you should know it! How can you be proud of that?

    Since Apr 2011 • 38 posts Report

  • Kracklite,

Oh come on, now the wailing is getting monotonous. Higher, lower… you know, a bit of melody. Please.

Smugness, a troll complaining of smugness? Oh really, that’s not even old.

Dribblette, I have just demonstrated to you how a Chinese finger trap works – the more you struggle, the tighter it gets. More specifically, the more you complain, the more you prove my point about your childish sense of thwarted entitlement.

  • son of little p,

so do you like to taunt 'sufferers from aspergers syndrome' in similar fashion? It is more insidious than anything i know of, the way certain people here make IMPOSSIBLE to dignifiedly assert themselves, whatever they do. I think it quite despicable, and the lowest of sport i know of..

    Since Apr 2011 • 38 posts Report

  • Kracklite,

The only people who make it impossible to assert themselves in a dignified manner are those who refuse to assert themselves in a dignified manner to begin with, and that requires fundamentally a respect for those one addresses.

You're under stress, that's obvious. I suggest a cup of tea and a lie down.

Well, you're not even entertaining now. Professional victims are simply tiresome.

Did anyone mention the fondness for the anagram generator?
I loved them as a kid - rearrange those letters and - waua!
A site doing that - not so much.

  • son of little p,

i'm not a f**king victim of anything, what on earth are you talking about? and i am entitled to nothing more than what i presume all of you believe yourselves to be a say in proceedings w/out automatically getting ridiculed and almost drooled apon by massively condescending, smug we-know-besters, so WHERE does all that come from?? So, you are saying i "refused to assert myself in a dignified manner in the first place?' It was the best i could damn well do at the time! I just think you need to stand back, way back, and take a long look at what airless gemeinschaftlich awfulness you have wrought in your own precious midst
